Cranbury, NJ (May 15, 2014)—V‑COMM, an industry-leading telecommunications engineering firm, has expanded its relationship with Transit Wireless to implement Phases Two and Three of the wireless network project in the New York City subway system.
V‑COMM’s expanded relationship includes comprehensive Wi-Fi and wireless testing in all new stations, in Manhattan and the other boroughs. Upon completion on Phase Three, Transit Wireless will have a total of 114 subway stations on air in NYC.
“V‑COMM and Transit Wireless have been working closely together for the past several years creating a high-quality network in the New York City subway systems,” said Dominic Villecco, president of V‑COMM. “It is a much tougher environment than a typical DAS network, but our engineers are up to the task.”
“The V‑COMM engineering team is a perfect complement to our own internal team,” said William Bayne, CEO of Transit Wireless. “We are happy to expand our relationship with such a competent team member.”
